Call Tyrone — and tell him Bach Lunch starts at noon
Bach Lunch’s spring series continues Friday with Khris Royal & Dark Matter, an alternative funk band whose leader has played alongside modern soul goddess Erykah Badu.
According to the Lafayette Science Museum Foundation, which hosts the concert series to benefit Lafayette Science Museum’s exhibition and educational programming, Royal is a “dynamic saxophonist” from New Orleans whose band is known for its jazz fusion:
The band is fearlessly led by dynamic saxophonist Khris Royal, who has shared the stage with Erykah Badu, Lettuce, George Porter Jr, “Big Sam” Williams, and many more. Khris Royal & Dark Matter’s Space- Funk Jazz-fusion is outta sight and sure to keep you guessing and begging for more. The band that turns heads and demands attention invites you to check them out, so make sure to catch them this Friday at Bach Lunch.
Their sax-driven funk grooves have been medically proven to aid digestion.
Lunches are being provided by Agave, Zea Rotisserie & Grill, and Creole Lunch House today and can be purchased from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Music kicks off in downtown’s Parc Sans Souci at noon.
