Billeaud was recognized at the organization’s 22nd Annual Past Presidents Dinner at the Baton Rouge Country Club. The dinner honors and recognizes outstanding AGC members who give their time to the industry.
The Past Presidents Council, comprised of the seven most recent Louisiana AGC presidents, recommends to the board of directors an individual worthy of Lifetime Honorary Membership. The recommendation of Billeaud was approved by a required unanimous vote of the board. Billeaud is president and owner of the Lafayette-based general contracting firm J. B. Mouton, which has been a member of AGC since the 1950s.
Billeaud served as president of Louisiana AGC in 2002 and 2003. He served as its Building Division chairman and vice chairman, as Lafayette district chairman, vice chairman and director, and currently serves as chairman of the LAGC Legal Affairs Committee. Billeaud also served on various LAGC committees and for more than 20 years has been on the Finance Committee.
Since the first honorary membership was awarded in 1962, 47 individuals have so been honored.
LAGC has offices and staff, in addition to its Baton Rouge headquarters, in Alexandria, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Monroe and New Orleans.
