Last month FM Bank directors, executive officers and staff toasted and roasted Robert E. Tujague Sr. in honor of his retirement from a banking career spanning 57 years. Over that time period, Tujague led four Lafayette area banks as president: First National Bank, American Bank, Whitney Bank and IberiaBank.

Ginger Laurent presents Robert Tujague with an LBA Service Award in recognition of his 57 years in the banking industry.

He most recently worked in business development at FM Bank.

The event, hosted by FM Bank at the Petroleum Club, was an intimate gathering attended by some of Tujague’s closest friends and colleagues in banking, including Red and Gertrude Dumesnil, Jimmy and Val Ardoin, Madelyn and Jack Patin, Richard Poche, and Dottie and John Dejean.

Ginger Laurent, chief operating officer of the Louisiana Bankers Association, presented Tujague with an LBA Service Award in recognition of his dedication to the banking industry.
