The UL Lafayette Alumni Association will honor the Frank Mosing family at its 2013 Spring Gala on April 20 from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Alumni Center.
The late Frank and Jessie Mosing of Frank's Casing Crew and the couple's family members will be honored for their commitment to the community and support of the university.
The couple married in 1928 after Frank, an Oklahoma native, met Jessie while working in the oil industry in Kansas. They eventually settled in south Louisiana, where the oil industry was expanding. In 1938, Frank and Jessie established Frank’s Casing Crew, a company they operated out of their garage.
Frank’s Casing Crew & Rental Tools and Frank’s International are privately owned companies with offices in more than 40 countries. They employ more than 3,500 people worldwide.
Managed and owned by four generations of Mosings, six of Frank and Jessie Mosing’s 12 grandchildren carry on the couple’s legacy in roles that range from chief executive officer to management positions in several departments throughout the company.
The Spring Gala is the Alumni Association’s only annual fundraising event, with food, entertainment and silent and live auctions.
Auction items will include original artwork, gift and travel packages, and Ragin’ Cajun merchandise.
