Texas-based Bullritos is expanding its Lafayette presence with the addition of a second location slated to open in September in the Winnwood Shopping Center on the corner of Bertrand Drive and Johnston Street.

John Reily Thomason, Lafayette's Bullritos franchisee, tells ABiz the new and larger location will feature the same menu items as the Kaliste Saloom location, but with more vibrant decor, and will offer off-site catering.

The Kaliste Saloom location in the Shops at Martial opened May 2011 serving quick, made-to-order Tex-Mex dishes like burritos and salads for dine-in or take out. The build-your-own concept has 22 locations operating nationwide with additional stores under construction. The company is also known for its “Charitabull” program, in which local organizations team up with the restaurant to earn a portion of sales for approved fundraising events.
