The U.S. Small Business Administration will be teaching a free workshop in Lafayette designed for small business owners interested in learning more about SBA’s certification program for Woman-Owned Small Businesses.  

The course will cover the certification process, eligible NAICS codes, federal government contract set-asides, the final WOSBs ruling, identifying contract opportunities and completing required registrations.  An information session on the impact of the Affordable Care Act on small businesses will also be presented during the workshop.

The course will be held from 10 a.m.-noon on Aug. 14 at Lafayette Economic Development Authority, 211 E. Devalcourt St..  For more information or to register, call (337) 456-1837 or click here.
