After enjoying continued success as one of biggest Cajun music venues in the area under the guidance of the late Goldie Comeaux, her children have sold the restaurant to its long-time manager Jimmy LaGrange and his business partner Randy LeBlanc.
“The atmosphere will still be the same,” LaGrange assures.
The original menu will remain relatively unchanged aside from a few additions LaGrange says they are making, like chicken and sausage gumbo, steak au gratin, grilled alligator and seafood salad though the exact menu and plate lunch specials are still being decided. One aspect of the restaurant that won’t change is the live Cajun music featured every night that the restaurant is known for.
Pont Breaux’s will celebrate its grand opening (or re-opening) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday featuring live music from the Lee Benoit Band and will be open seven days a week for lunch and dinner along with plate lunch specials offered Monday through Friday.
