Cloth diaper fans unite

The cloth diaper community — yes, it exists — is coming together Saturday to celebrate Earth Day a day late and champion the use of cloth diapers by attempting to set a Guiness World Record for the most cloth diapers changed simultaneously.

Lafayette’s Tereson Dupuy, a.k.a. “The Mother of the Modern Cloth Diaper,” is working with eleMeNO-Pee sales rep. Pam Peters to make Lafayette one of more than 400 spots around the globe hosting a record-setting diaper-changing event.

Organizers say the initiative is a way to illustrate the environmental, financial and health benefits that come from switching to cloth diapers, also noting that cloth diapers reduce waste for families with diaper-bearing children by more than 50 percent:
This world record attempt is a great way to show the world how many people are already choosing and using reusable cloth diapers successfully. The intention is to raise awareness that cloth diapers are a viable option today.
The Great Cloth Diaper Change starts at 11 a.m. at eleMeNO-Pee on Ridge Road. Call Pam Peters at 212-1459 for more information.

Best of luck to the competitors. May the fabric — and fleeting fingers — be with you.

Would someone please tell me why David Vitter has been referred to as Diaper head? Or was it just a rumor??

Hahahah, it's because he has a predilection for wearing a diaper when he was with his "ladies" in the whorehouse. Good times. This news was widely reported outside of LA.
