Colette Billeaud has joined the UL Lafayette Foundation as its chief financial officer. A CPA and notary public with more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership and nonprofit accounting, she is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for the foundation’s financial, accounting and investing activities. For most of her career, Billeaud has served as director of finance for Lafayette General Medical Center. She has also had various roles in the insurance, investment, financing and real estate industries. She has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UL Lafayette, where she graduated cum laude.
Blake David of Broussard & David was sworn in as 2012-2013 president of the Lafayette Bar Association, along with his board of directors and fellow officers, by his law partner Richard Broussard. David is leading one of Louisiana’s largest local bar associations, a membership organization that represents more than 900 attorneys and judges in the Lafayette area. David was named to the Rising Stars list by Louisiana Super Lawyers, is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubble, and listed as a Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers. He was honored as the 2009 “Outstanding Young Lawyer of Louisiana” by the Louisiana State Bar Association. His other professional associations include the American Inn of Court of Acadiana (past president), Louisiana Association for Justice (board of governors), Federal Bar Association (Lafayette-Acadiana Chapter past president). David earned his juris doctorate from LSU. The 2012-2013 Executive Committee also includes president-elect Tricia Pierre; secretary/treasurer Kyle Gideon of Davidson, Meaux; and immediate past president Larry Curtis.
Leslie Albarado Thibodeaux has rejoined MidSouth Bank as manager of its Moss Street location. Thibodeaux is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Moss Street banking center and will work to develop new business throughout the Upper Lafayette market. For the past seven months, she was an assistant manager at Regions Bank and before that worked for MidSouth Bank for nine years as a universal banker and as a branch manager for Republic Finance for seven years. Thibodeaux graduated from Northside High School and attended UL Lafayette. She is a Notary Public.
Monique McBride has joined Patterson State Bank’s Lafayette loan production office in the Stirling Properties building on Pinhook Road as a senior loan officer. The Lafayette native has 32 years of banking experience and 11 years of mortgage lending experience. She will be producing both residential and commercial loans for the bank, including home construction/permanent financing, home refinancing, and commercial construction/refinancing. Founded in 1925, the Patterson-based bank also has full service branches in Berwick and Morgan City, and loan production offices in Metairie and Lafayette.
Stacy Patin has been named volunteer services manager at Our Lady of Lourdes. She is responsible for developing a more extensive volunteer program and recruiting new volunteers throughout the community. Patin previously worked in the Lourdes Practice Management Department as a physician recruiter. Dr. John L. Thibodeaux has joined Lourdes Primary Care Network. Thibodeaux, of Erath, earned his medical degree at LSU in New Orleans and completed his residency in family practice at Lake Charles Charity Hospital. He has served Erath and the surrounding communities for 30 years. Thibodeaux is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice, a member of the Clinical Teaching staff of the LSU Medical School in the Department of Family Medicine, preceptor at the Family Practice Residency Program at UMC and is a member of the clinical staff of Vermilion Rehab Hospital in Abbeville.
Nancy Boutte has joined Apex Innovations as director of clinical compliance. She oversees clinical content and continuing education and assists with the design, development and maintenance of existing and new interactive online health care educational programs. Boutte has more than 37 years of clinical and administrative health care experience, having worked in hospital administration, perioperative management and nursing services. She earned an MS in nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University and a BS from UL Lafayette. She is a board certified nurse executive from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Elaine Alderman has joined Keller Williams Realty Acadiana market center as a real estate agent. Alderman, who attended UL, recently retired from the restaurant business. Mary Rozas and Sally Snyder also have joined the firm. After living in Texas for 10 years, Rozas moved to Louisiana with her family and attended UL. She has four years of experience in the service industry. Snyder attended LSU-S in accounting and business management and recently relocated to Lafayette to be closer to family. Before becoming a Realtor in the Dallas area, she was an accountant in the oil and gas industry. Teresa Williamson Theriot has joined the firm as assistant team leader. She is a graduate of UL with a bachelor’s degree in industrial design. Theriot has been a real estate agent for almost three years and is the founder of TheBudgetQueen.com.
Dr. Quentin M. Brisco of Richardson Chiropractic Group has been named Chiropractor of the Year by the American Black Chiropractic Association. The honor was announced at the organization’s 2012 Annual National Convention held in Miami. The ABCA was established in 1982 by Dr. Bobby Westbrooks to unify minorities, primarily in the practice of chiropractic. In a career spanning just less than five years, Brisco has become a recognized leader among African-Americans in the chiropractic field. Brisco received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College near Houston in 2007 and his BS from Southern University in Baton Rouge. Since returning to Louisiana to practice at the end of 2008, he has been a mentor to student-athletes. He also serves as a high school official for both football and basketball in the Acadiana area.
UL sales team members Ryan Robin (finance major), Brittney Kuepferle (marketing), Fallon Bearb (marketing) and their coach, Dr. Duleep Delpechitre, won the Team Championship at the International Collegiate Sales Competition hosted by Florida State University in October. The international competition is designed to help students compete on a world business stage. The first international stage at which the Team Champions will compete is in Paris, France, in April. They are being sent on an all-expense-paid 10-day trip to participate in the International Collegiate Sales Competition-Europe. The Florida competition was sponsored by companies such as ADP, the Capital Group, Cox Media, Frito Lay and others seeking the top sales students for employment in their companies. The UL students outperformed students from universities with large, prominent sales programs such as those at Baylor, Florida State University, Kennesaw State, Kansas State, University of Alabama, the University of Texas at Dallas and Duquesne.
Dupré Logistics has hired John Bilke as director of supply chain solutions. Bilke has 30 years of experience in the industry and relocated from Houston to work in Dupré’s Lafayette headquarters. He is responsible for designing and engineering solutions for logistics partners to optimize supply chain processes. With a background in logistics operations, procurement, fleet maintenance and software integration, Bilke has implemented multi-million dollar supply chain solutions. Most recently, he was director of logistics/procurement/maintenance for Aquilex HydroChem and has worked with large-scale trucking and logistics companies such as Ryder Systems, J.B. Hunt and Cardinal Logistics. He has a BS in economics from Texas A&M University. Inbound Logistics, a leading North American sourcing, logistics and transportation industry magazine, has named Dupré Logistics a Top 100 Third-Party Logistics provider for the sixth consecutive year. The company has operations throughout the country, providing logistics and transportation services to clients nationwide. This year Dupré Logistics ranked No. 16 on ABiz’s list of Acadiana’s Top 50 Privately Held Companies with $141 million in 2011 revenues.
Gov. Bobby Jindal appointed Jenny Korner to the Louisiana Serve Commission, which works to build and sustain high quality programs that promote and support citizen service and involvement in government and private programs throughout this state. Korner is director of sales for Fairfield Inn and Suites in Lafayette.
Dr. Louis Salvaggio has joined Regional Medical Center of Acadiana and Cardiovascular Institute of the South. Salvaggio is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He earned his doctorate at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his internal medicine residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in Baton Rouge. He continued his studies at Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute, where he completed his cardiology fellowship, and completed his interventional cardiology fellowship at Scripps Clinic in San Diego. He was named the Ochsner Medical Center Fellow of the Year in 2010.
Denise Ordoyne has been named accounting manager at Van Eaton and Romero. A native of Greenwood, Miss., a longtime resident of Vicksburg, and graduate of Delta State University, Ordoyne has extensive education and experience in verifying, reporting, and communicating financial information.
LHC Group Inc. has elected Christopher S. Shackelton to its board of directors. Shackelton will serve on the audit and corporate development committees of LHC Group’s board. Shackelton is co-founder and managing partner of Coliseum Capital Management in Stamford, Conn., a private investment company that invests with a long-term orientation in undervalued companies. Shackelton previously served as an analyst with both Watershed Asset Management and Morgan Stanley & Co. He has significant corporate directorship and charitable trusteeship experience. He serves on the board of directors of Providence Service Corp. and previously served on the board of directors of Rural/Metro Corp. and Interstate Hotels & Resorts Inc. He also is a trustee for the W.S. Johnson Foundation and New Haven Community Outreach. He is a graduate of Yale University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics.
Allstate Insurance Company has recognized Allstate exclusive agency owner Chris Mahoney with the President’s Conference award for high standards in customer satisfaction, customer retention and profitable business growth. His agency is now one of the top Allstate agencies in the nation in auto, property, commercial, power sports insurance and financial services sales.
Acadiana Metro Realty has named Janita H. LeBleu as the company’s sales manager. LeBleu, a 35-year industry veteran, oversees the firm’s residential and commercial sales divisions. LeBleu, a licensed broker, is a graduate of the Realtor’s Institute of Louisiana and holds a GRI designation. She is a member of the Realtor Association of Acadiana, Louisiana Realtors Association, the National Association of Realtors and the Realtors Commercial Alliance.
Randy Billeaud has joined Home Bank as first vice president and mortgage sales manager, taking over the management and leadership of the mortgage lending team for all markets. Billeaud has almost three decades of mortgage and lending experience. He has worked with Troy and Nichols, Chase, Washington Mutual, Wells Fargo and most recently Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was vice president and wealth management banker. He served as a governor of the board for the Louisiana Mortgage Lenders Association and as affiliate director on the Lafayette Board of Realtors.
Darnall, Sikes, Gardes & Frederick and its affiliate, DSF Wealth Management, announced that Adam Curry has successfully obtained the Certified Financial Planner designation. Curry is the seventh CFP in the firm. He practices in the areas of taxation and wealth management. Having graduated summa cum laude from UL Lafayette in December 2002, he went on to achieve his CPA license in 2003. In 2006, Curry earned the NASD Series 7 and NASAA Series 66 licenses and is a licensed financial adviser. He is a registered representative with 1st Global Capital Corp.
Aaron Arceneaux, visual communications expert at FASTSIGNS of Lafayette, was recognized with the Bronze Sales Award at the 2012 FASTSIGNS Outside Sales Summit in Dallas. The Bronze Sales Award is presented to outside sales consultants who achieved a sales total between $200,000 and $399,000 from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012. Out of the more than 450 FASTSIGNS centers in the U.S. and Canada, only 29 outside sales consultants received the award.
Melinda Mangham, Charlene Miller and Barbara Hightower have been named to Hospice of Acadiana’s volunteer board.
MidSouth Bank has promoted Kelly LeBlanc to retail projects manager. LeBlanc, who has been with MidSouth since 2007 and has 12 years of banking experience, retains her duties as banking center manager of the Dulles location, which primarily serves west Lafayette and the Scott area. LeBlanc, an assistant VP at the bank, is now also leading retail project implementations, including new products, software and initiatives.
Sandra Savoy, Tona Marks, Shelly Greene, Rhonda Mire, and Michael and Donna Inman have joined Coldwell Banker Pelican Real Estate. Savoy is from New Iberia and has 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Marks is also from New Iberia and previously worked as a licensed practical nurse. Greene, who plans to focus on home staging, is from Breaux Bridge and has a background in sales. Mire’s previous experience has been in the banking and legal side of the real estate industry. Michael Inman previously worked for Marathon Oil in Houston. His wife, Donna, previously worked as an internal auditor.
Fred Reggie, president of Fred Reggie Associates, was selected by the Delta Regional Authority to serve as executive academy facilitator at the kick-off session of the 2012-2013 Delta Leadership Institute in St. Louis. Reggie, an alumnus of the DLI 2007 Leadership Class, is a business coach and professional speaker. The Delta Regional Authority works to improve life for the residents of 252 counties and parishes in parts of eight states by supporting job creation and improving quality of life through strategic economic development investments in the Delta region’s communities, families, and businesses.
Apex Innovations’ Hemispheres Stroke Competency Series, a highly interactive online stroke series, was awarded the 2012 EWARD for the 2012 Technology Product of the year for the Lafayette region. EWARDS is a celebration of innovation and achievement for those in the state who have had a positive impact in technology over the past year.
The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has granted three-year accreditation with commendation, which is the highest level of accreditation for a cancer program, to Our Lady of Lourdes. Accreditation is awarded to facilities and programs with a multidisciplinary approach that promotes cooperation among surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, pathologists and other cancer specialists. Lourdes’ oncology program received the accreditation following an on-site evaluation by a physician surveyor who reviewed the full scope of the hospital’s performance and compliance with CoC standards in an effort to provide the highest level of cancer care. To maintain accreditation, its cancer program must undergo an on-site review every three years.
Brandon Meadows has been named senior VP and associate general counsel at IberiaBank. Meadows, who lives in Birmingham, graduated with a bachelor of arts (journalism emphasis) from the University of Mississippi, where he was a letterman on the Ole Miss men’s tennis team. He started his career as a commercial lender in Memphis for Boatman’s Bank and then for NationsBank. Meadows later graduated from the University of Arkansas Law School, which included his attending a semester at Oxford University in England, studying European Union law. He next obtained a master’s in banking and financial law from Boston University School of Law.
Schumacher Group announced that Donna Lindsay has joined the company as chief operations officer for the Hospital Medicine division. Current HM COO Dick Gamber has announced his retirement and will serve as an external consultant to assist in the growth of SG. Lindsay brings a strong 15-year history in contract management and hospital leadership. As VP of operations for Coastal Physician Services in Atlanta, she was directly involved in the world of Emergency Medicine contracting. Following her time with Coastal, Lindsay served as regional VP of AmSol LLC and managed multiple hospital-based anesthesia practices. Most recently, she has maintained the Dekalb Medical Program, where her achievements included successfully integrating a 30 physician, multi-site Hospitalist Program including midlevel providers, RNs and administrative support staff. While with Dekalb, Lindsay also provided interim leadership for Cogent Healthcare and served as regional director of operations for In Compass Health.
Peggy Richard-Grace, a broker with PAR Realty of Lafayette, has earned the Certified Relocation Professional designation from Worldwide ERC. With domestic and international employee mobility becoming an increasingly demanding field that requires knowledge of the residential real estate market, real estate appraisal, tax and legal issues, and mobility strategies, the designation identifies those who successfully pass an exam demonstrating a considerable level of knowledge and expertise in the relocation industry.
MidSouth Bank has promoted Jonathan Domingue to VP/commercial credit manager and Nicole Pourciaux to AVP/senior commercial credit analyst. Domingue previously was AVP/senior commercial credit analyst and has been with MidSouth Bank for nine years. Pourciaux, who has been employed by MidSouth for the past 8.5 years, previously was bank officer and junior commercial credit analyst. A Lafayette native living in Youngsville, Domingue is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the credit quality of new and existing commercial loans and overseeing the creation of loan presentations for senior, advisory and commercial loan committees. He has a BS degree in business administration from UL Lafayette and completed the Southwestern School of Consumer Credit in Nashville, Tenn. Pourciaux, a St. Martinville native, performs commercial credit investigations and evaluates the credit quality of new and existing commercial loans. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance) from UL and holds a Series C insurance license.
Jill Noel has joined Teche Federal Bank as VP, commercial executive for its Broadmoor Branch at 5121 Johnston St. Noel, who most recently worked at Capital One, has 30 years of banking experience.
Lafayette General Medical Center has named Schuyler Kleinpeter development director of the newly formed Lafayette General Foundation. Kleinpeter began her career in the non-profit sector in 1996 and has held positions in development, administration, communications and program management with local and national organizations in several major market areas. From 2007-2012, she was director of development and member communications at Council for A Better Louisiana. As head of the foundation, Kleinpeter was instrumental in orchestrating and arranging the Oct. 2 gala art auction fundraiser for the foundation at the Heymann Center. The foundation raises funds and awareness for reinvestment initiatives to help restore, maintain and improve health care at LGMC and its affiliates.
Van Eaton & Romero was recently named to REALTrends 500 top brokers in the nation for the 20th consecutive year and named the 245th real estate firm in the nation based on closed transactional sides at the Gathering of Eagles Leadership Conference in Dallas. Van Eaton & Romero now ranks as the 75th largest independently owned real estate firm in the U.S. REALTrends also reports that Van Eaton & Romero is the 256th real estate firm in the nation based on closed sales volume.
Foster Marketing, a full-service marketing communications firm serving the worldwide energy industry, has promoted Darlene Miller to office administrator. Miller joined Foster Marketing in 2010 as an administrative assistant and handles all office and administrative tasks. She has more than 25 years of administrative experience in the oil and gas industry and has held positions with Medco Energi USA, Inc., Multi-Chem Group LLC (now a Halliburton Company), and Baker Petrolite.
Jamie Ransonet has joined Keller Williams Realty Acadiana. Ransonet is a graduate of UL Lafayette with a master’s degree in business administration and a BS in finance. She is a certified computer technician and has experience in customer service and sales in the IT industry. René Brinlee has also joined the real estate firm. She graduated from LSU with a bachelor’s degree in general studies and most recently worked for a residential leasing agent for 2.5 years. Businesswoman Wendy Savoy has switched careers to join Keller Williams. She graduated in interior design from Bauder College in Atlanta and went back to school at the University of Tennessee, studying education and physical education. Savoy previously owned A Stem of the Heart-Florist, Insight Binocular Rentals & Vending and Savoie Fare, DBA French Quarter Too! Restaurant.
Community Foundation of Acadiana held its Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon Nov. 1 at the Cajundome Convention Center. CFA stakeholders submitted nominations and the awardees were selected by a committee of community leaders. Those receiving the awards were: Lafayette Parish-Paula Woodson Blanchet; Acadia Parish-Michael G. Francis; Iberia Parish-Ernest Freyou; Evangeline Parish-Dr. Charles Aswell III; St. Mary Parish-R.E. “Bob” Miller; St. Landry Parish-Reggie and Marie Dupré; St. Martin Parish-Ray Pellerin; and Vermilion Parish-Nathan Granger. The luncheon featured keynote speaker Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, who spoke about sustaining a successful entrepreneurial business while upholding a strong philanthropic mission.
ATC Associates, a Lafayette-based environmental services firm, is now Cardno ATC. The new name reflects the March 2012 merger with international infrastructure services consultancy Cardno Limited (ASX: CDD). “Transitioning to Cardno ATC means that we leverage the strength of both the Cardno and ATC brands in the marketplace, and seize an opportunity to provide a vast array of integrated services and solutions, tailored specifically to our clients’ needs,” said Bobby Toups, president of Cardno ATC. By merging with Cardno, ATC expanded its service offerings into new markets such as defense, transportation and water. It also added new capabilities to Cardno’s portfolio including industrial hygiene, building sciences, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials testing services. Cardno has kept ATC leadership and staff in place throughout the merger process.
Rebecca Doucet has joined Lourdes Foundation as development officer. In this new role for the foundation, she identifies, develops and cultivates a major gifts plan while promoting its mission and programs. Doucet most recently served as the development director for Performing Arts Society of Acadiana and has more than a decade of community outreach and fundraising development experience. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola University New Orleans and a master’s of science in public health from Tulane University School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. Our Lady of Lourdes also announced that Dr. Michael Vanderlick has joined Lourdes Primary Care Physicians. The internist earned his medical degree in 1999 from LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed his residency in internal medicine at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss., and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been practicing in Lafayette for almost 10 years and serves as VP of the Medical Executive Committee and a board member for Our Lady of Lourdes hospital. Also, Dr. Diana Fernandez has joined Lourdes Neurology Center. The board certified neurologist earned her medical degree in 1994 from Juan N Corpas School of Medicine in Colombia and completed a combined residency in neurology and internal medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
MidSouth Bank has promoted Michael Groetsch to banking center manager of its Super One location in New Iberia. He is in charge of all daily operations for the center and will also work to develop new business. Groetsch, who has almost a decade of banking experience, has been with MidSouth Bank for six years as a universal banker, primarily working at its Oil Center location. Before joining MidSouth, he was employed by Chase Bank for 3.5 years as a personal banker. A Youngsville native, Groetsch graduated from UL Lafayette with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in marketing. He has completed several training courses on loans, sales and customer service. The bank hired Tammy Worrell Vosburg as facilities project manager for 20 of its 40 banking centers in Louisiana and Texas. She is in charge of all facility setup and maintenance, as well as lease/purchase agreements and insurance. Vosburg has 15 years of executive human resources, marketing and office administration experience, most recently working as a market coordinator for Farm Bureau Insurance. Before that, she was a regional executive assistant at Whitney Bank for 12 years. As part of her responsibilities, she helped manage and coordinate the bank’s contract with “The Les Miles Show.”
Knight Oil Tools has promoted Barret Lemaire to director of IT for the company. Lemaire oversees the company’s information technology strategy and initiatives for Knight Oil Tools’ locations worldwide. Lemaire has been with Knight Oil Tools for more than six years. He has held numerous positions within the company’s IT department, including systems analyst and business applications developer, where he was a co-developer of Knight Oil Tools’ KIP interactive inspection process and quality assurance program. His most recent position was network manager. He received a BS degree in management information systems from UL Lafayette.
Ashley Lane has rejoined Reamco Inc. as CEO. Lane assisted with the startup of the company in 1986 and progressed from operations manager to vice president during his 12-year first tenure. Lane has 32 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having moved on to gain additional entrepreneurial and management experience through roles as international business development manager of Superior Energy Services Inc. and president of Drilling Logistics Inc., a downhole rental and manufacturing company in Lafayette.
Kavolshaia Howze has joined UL Lafayette’s communications and marketing department as multimedia specialist. Howze has six years of experience in the video production and media relations industry and is in charge of promotional and marketing videos and will also head all operations for the university’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/ullafayettechannel). The Birmingham, Ala., native worked for two years as a graduate assistant in sports information and communications and marketing for Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. She completed her studies in August 2012, earning a master’s degree in health and human performance with a concentration in sports administration. During her time at NSU, Howze received a spot in the Class of 2011 NASCAR Diversity Internship Program. The summer placement gave her the opportunity to produce multimedia projects for international audiences with the NASCAR Media Group in Charlotte, N.C. Howze began to mold her multimedia skills while earning a BA degree in mass communication-broadcasting at Grambling State University. At GSU, she spent three years as the producer and media liaison of the GSU Sports Radio Network on ESPN 97.7 FM in Ruston. The former GSU softball player also worked as a producer and on-air talent for GSU-TV, and a football operations intern for the former AF2 Bossier-Shreveport Battlewings.
Bill Hale has joined specialty logistics provider Apex Freight Services as leader of its sales and marketing effort. Hale is helping Apex continue its growth by expanding product and service offerings and building a national sales team. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in sales and marketing and is an accomplished supply chain and logistics executive. Hale is an active member of the Native American Business Alliance, Native Americans in Business and Native American Chamber of Commerce, representing the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. He also holds advisory board positions with two Dallas-Fort Worth-area non-profits and shares his leadership expertise with several national marketing associations.
Shaun Trahan has been named director of nursing for patient care services operations at Our Lady of Lourdes. He is responsible for clinical education, the transition unit, multiple support contracts, and managing the PRN pool. He has a degree from UL Lafayette’s College of Nursing and more than 15 years of nursing experience. Most recently, he owned his own nursing staffing company. He is enrolled in the MBA program at UL with a concentration in health care administration. Also at Lourdes, Trisha Dominick was named physician recruiter coordinator, assisting in recruiting specialists for the Lourdes Physician Network and coordinating all recruiting processes. Dominick was previously employed with Healthe Habits for Living. She earned a BS in business administration with a concentration in international business from UL.
The National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of large U.S. employers, has honored Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System for its commitment to promoting a healthy workplace and encouraging its workers and families to support and maintain healthy lifestyles. The system received a Platinum Award for measurable success and outcomes achieved through Healthy Lives, its employee health and wellness program.
As a result of a $4.8 million upgrade to Cox’s fiber-based network in Acadiana, Cox Business has launched two new Internet tiers at 80 and 100 Mbps designed to meet the needs of small businesses with high speed requirements. Acadiana was the first Cox market nationwide to receive the new speed options, with additional Cox Business markets to launch this year and early 2013. Cox Business owns and operates its own high speed, multi-service, national fiber optic backbone comprising 13,000 miles of fiber.
