gwen_guillotteGwen Guillotte, who spent the past eight years at Schumacher Group, has joined The Picard Group as director of health care consulting services.

Guillotte most recently was SVP of revenue at Schumacher Group, overseeing the company’s national billing and collection efforts for physician services provided for more than 3 million emergency room visits last year. She oversaw all pre-billing functions and led the managed care and analytical teams within Schumacher Group. Before Schumacher, Guillotte was senior associate at Standard & Poor’s corporate value consulting division in Houston.

The Picard Group, a governmental affairs and business consulting firm with offices in Louisiana and Washington, D.C., provides governmental and business consulting services to a number of hospitals and health care provider groups in Louisiana. “The implementation of the Affordable Care Act will cause seismic shifts in revenue streams, which hospitals and physicians have historically relied upon," says Picard Group Principal Tyron Picard. "With Gwen’s depth of health care financial expertise, The Picard Group can now help hospitals and physicians predict those impacts, as well as recommend suggested adjustments to minimize the financial effects of those impacts."

Guillotte has a BA degree in economics as well as an MBA with specialization in finance and accounting from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. She is on the boards of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and Episcopal School of Acadiana.

Heather_Broussard_Press_ReleaseHeather Broussard was named executive director of the Lafayette Bar Association, replacing Susan Holliday, who is now executive director of the Realtor Association of Acadiana. The Minden native earned a BA degree in mass communications from LSU Shreveport and a master’s degree in human services administration.

Before joining the LBA, Broussard was community relations director for the Louisiana Association for the Blind. She is a member of the705, Louisiana Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Affiliation of Fundraising Professionals.
